  • Overview

    Job Purpose:

    Provides project management support to the Securus Implementation Services department and is responsible for the receipt, processing, administration and maintenance of the documentation and data relating to the Project Management team.


    Essential Duties:

    • Manages the de-installations of all Corporate Core Systems and other related planned project activities; comprised of maintaining customer communications, scheduling resources for hardware removals, transport disconnects, disabling vendor integrations and software features through Loss Review opportunities within department published SLAs.
    • Interacts with Field Operations Management to manage and strategize field resource planning for all loss review project opportunities.
    • Manages all incoming SharePoint requests, New/Renewal/Major Mac, and Minor Mac opportunities/cases.
    • Reviews and validates the scope of work for each project opportunity/case; verify contract requirements, perform data analysis and interacts with Sales Operations to verify scope details and project readiness.
    • Initiates and distributes projects and opportunities within Company specified SLAs.
    • Completes project initiation requests from Project Managers and Management Teams.
    • Assesses workload balance between the cross functional teams, and distributes projects assignments accordingly.
    • Updates necessary tracking systems to ensure that projects and/or program statuses are maintained with accuracy.
    • Deciphers the technology being used and/or requested from Sales Operations and Technical staff to evaluate what is reasonable or possible.
    • Performs SOX compliance for all sales orders submitted by Project Mangers.
    • Manages the process of material requisitions and purchase orders.
    • Creates and uses Gantt charts, spreadsheets or other appropriate tools to manage time and tasks.
    • Generates tasks, assignments, and updates to projects within Company provided time-tracking software.
    • Generates many types of documents, including requirement specifications, statement of work, schedules, project reports, communication (email) records, meeting agendas, minutes and status reports.
    • Understands relevant methodologies, processes and standards; and ensures that all project team members understand and follow these practices.
    • Utilizes company provided resources to be self-sufficient and gain product knowledge.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the company.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Technically minded with strong understanding of telecommunication technologies and inmate telephone and video products
    • Knowledge related to install and maintenance of integration systems transferring data
    • Fundamental understanding of finance and accounting principles
    • Highly organized and detail orientated with the ability to multi-task
    • Demonstrates leadership skills, communication, analytical, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills while having the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
    • Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with excellent typing and data entry skills
    • Demonstrates ability to effectively employ both short term and long term project planning skills
    • Intermediate knowledge of Power Point, Word, Excel, Power Point and MS Project. Advanced knowledge preferred, as daily tasks surround the utilization of all Office products


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology Management or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years experience in Telecommunications and Support or Project Coordination

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CAPM Certified
    • 5+ years experience in Telecommunications and Support of Project Coordination
    • Experience in data analysis and writing business requirements

    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
