  • Overview

    Job Purpose:


    Responsible for producing high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products.


    Essential Duties:

    • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
    • Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
    • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
    • Organize and write supporting documents for products
    • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding
    • Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos
    • Standardize content across platforms and media
    • Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and other stakeholders
    • Revise documents as new issues arise


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates. 
    • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and other communication media
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
    • Skilled at prioritizing and multi-tasking
    • Willingness to travel (US)


    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2-3 years’ experience working in a technical writing position.


    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
