  • Overview

    Job Purpose:


    Provide maintenance and enhancement support to a series of proprietary software applications for a global leader in the Public Safety industry.


    Essential Duties:

    • Develop, enhance, and implement Public Safety Electronic Health Record (EHR) software utilizing Silverlight
    • Perform unit, functional, and performance software testing
    • Troubleshoot production problems to Public Safety EHR software
    • Provides solutions to fix software bugs
    • Provides technical supports to client support teams.
    • Responsible for analysis of business requirements and for accurate estimates of level of effort for analysis, design, and coding.
    • Analytical support of user reported problems to determine appropriate resolution options, on-call support, and problem resolution of production systems


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Silverlight, C#, VB.Net, .Net, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
    • Proficient in software design, development, and unit testing
    • Relational databases such as MSSQL and MySQL
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong problem solving, debugging, and application and code maintenance skills
    • Understands the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Ability to accurately estimate the level of effort required for planned designs.
    • Adapt to a rapidly moving client focus.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or acceptable experience
    • 2-3 years of software development experience utilizing Silverlight


    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
