  • Overview

    Job Purpose:


    The position will entail working to prevent fraudulent transactions before they are processed and to handle chargeback caseloads.  Customer service calls will have to be handled with patience and care.


    Essential Duties:

    • Verification of transactions that have failed fraud rules
    • Respond to chargebacks/retrievals
    • Take escalated CS calls due to fraud, chargeback/chargeback reversal research.
    • Manage financial Care inbox (review customer verification ID’s)
    • Block/ unblock accounts, offenders and or credit cards as needed
    • Partner with various Depts. to research accounts/or inmates for fraud
    • Keep track of /maintain spreadsheets.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong problem solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
    • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.
    • Candidate must have adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Especially Excel, Word and Outlook.)
    • Candidate must be very team oriented
    • Candidate must be able to multitask and have strong work ethic
    • Candidate must possess exceptional telephone etiquette
    • Candidate must be able to communicate and interact w/ all lines of business effectively
    • Must be able to adapt to flexible schedules.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Some college
    • Experience in fraud detection
    • Experience in chargeback



    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
