  • Overview

    Job Purpose:


    Creates proposals to promote the company’s services in response to complex RFPs.


    Essential Duties:

    • Analyzing and logging in Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and other solicitations to determine appropriate response formats and timeframes.
    • Consistently communicating with Sales personnel and Company Principals on the proposal team regarding format, approach, status and deadlines.
    • Compiling and reworking operational information, individual qualifications and corporate background sections to meet specific RFP requirements.
    • Helping to develop and maintain the RFP Knowledge-base to ensure current and accurate information.
    • Coordinating all related proposal workflow including SME assignments, review cycles, version control, processing support and adherence to proposal schedule.
    • Producing complete documentation and RFP submissions for distribution.
    • Performing analysis of competitive RFP submissions obtain through open record requests.
    • Assisting the legal team and others as necessary to complete contracts after successful proposals.
    • Performing other tasks under the direction of the RFP Manager that may be necessary to accomplish the team’s objectives.
    • Responsibilities of this position include responding to multiple proposal requests, coordinating and monitoring internal resources, and presentation production (including synthesis of both writing and graphics elements), production and complete documentation of the proposal process.  Your proactive nature, ability to solve problems, eye for detail and strong communications skills both written and oral make you an excellent candidate for this position.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
    • Excellent writing and editing skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Thorough understanding of office automation software with excellent computer (Microsoft Office) skills are essential, particularly extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word.
    • Must be able to work on multiple projects and complete high quality work against strict and conflicting deadlines which are dictated by prospects
    • A positive, collegial attitude and a high level of professionalism is essential


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • 4 years’ experience; or any combination of education and/or experience that would provide an equivalent background.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Business or related field.


    Physical Requirements:

    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
