Responsible for administering and maintaining the IT corporate backup environment. Responsibilities include maintaining hardware, operating systems, Netbackup application, software upgrades, security patches and virus protection. Critical duties also include documenting and communicating backup evidence for organization and compliance reasons. This person has the experience working with enterprise network platforms such as Windows 2003/2008 and exposure to Enterprise Linux Operating Systems. Capable of managing multiple tape libraries and disk-based backup appliances. Able to design and coordinate the installation of enterprise class systems, hardware and associated equipment in an enterprise Data Center environment. Maintain and troubleshoot high availability systems and must be able to develop and write systems documentation. This job may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the system being supported.
