  • Overview

    Job Purpose:


    Responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function including: staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety and compliance. Administers and innovates human resources programs and policies support company goals and positively engage the workforce.  The incumbent will work with business unit leaders to create and maintain a culture focused on fulfilling the company’s purpose and centered upon its cultural attributes.


    Essential Duties:

    • Champion a culture focused on respect and inclusivity through effective hiring practices, employee relations strategies, interactive employee interviews and surveys, performance management and development programs.
    • Ensure compliance with EEO processes, HR initiatives and Affirmative Action Reporting.
    • Optimize the workforce to ensure proper staffing levels and work flows.
    • Conduct engagement surveys, skip level meetings and exit interviews to identify weaknesses in the organization, analyze data and develop plans to improve the organizational performance, processes etc.
    • Lead internal investigations and complaints, document findings and recommend solutions.
    • Develop and implement management development programs that are designed to educate and empower managers to be effective business and people leaders.
    • Conduct ongoing assessment of benefits and service providers to ensure maximum value is being delivered to the company. Negotiate most favorable terms with service providers.
    • Design and implement HR support processes and programs to achieve company initiatives; including, but not limited to: compensation, employee training and development, performance management and succession planning.
    • Build a high-performance human resource team to serve all entities.
    • Ensure flexibility and scalability of all HR processes leveraging technology and systems.
    • Develop the annual HR plan to support business unit objectives.

    • Demonstrated ability to create and lead major change initiatives at the division or corporate level to support company initiatives

    • Capable of providing the full continuum of HR leadership and organizational management support, including strategic thinking, tactical support and operational application.
    • Empathetic listening skills necessary to facilitate trust and build strong rapport with senior leadership, management and employees
    • Demonstrated understanding of business, financial, political and operational issues impacting the business and the HR strategies necessary to address them
    • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships with senior leadership, managers and supervisors
    • Demonstrated negotiation skills
    • Innate curiosity with a practice of continual learning leading to innovative results


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • BA or BS in HR or related field
    • 15 years’ experience in HR functions with 7+ years in management role
    • 4 years in key decision making HR role at the division or corporate level
    • Experience in development and management of the HR budget and the ability to meet or exceed budgetary goals



    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree in business, organizational psychology or organizational development.
    • PHR or SPHR Certification


    Physical Requirements:


    Standing, sitting, walking, speaking, listening, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and manipulating tools, typing, using peripheral computer tools.  May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
