The primary responsibilities of the Advisory Account Manager are:


  1. Identify and establishes deep, long lasting relationships with key decision makers and influencers in all in assigned customer accounts. Establish yourself as the trusted advisor in all areas of technology.
  2. Through value added marketing and superior knowledge, design retention plans & initiatives to protect and retain the business from all competitive threats.
  3. Significantly grow account and territory revenue, margin and market share by discovering and validating client needs and pain points, recommending and proposing Securus solutions and leading the client through a successful acquisition cycle.
  4. Lead the client to interact with all relevant company resources including: sales, marketing, support, service. Develop corporate relationships with your client that enhances account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  5. Exceed assigned targets for sales and strategic initiatives.



  1. Recognizes and qualifies business opportunities. Directs Securus resources in marketing and sales activities that result in client commitment to Securus solutions.
  2. Provides Trusted Advisor guidance and leadership, including client needs, wants and perceptions, in the development of account and territory plans. Gets the client to participate in the territory planning process to solicit buy in to the Securus solutions.
  3. Leads the firm in the development of superior proposals that clearly delineate our value prop, value added solutions and market differentiators. Lead the RFP process to a successful outcome. Negotiate win-win deals that provide value to both parties.
  4. As the trusted advisor, grow relationships that are deep and long and result in the client dependence on Securus and our resources for technical advice, solutions and improved operations.
  5. Drive the Securus quality metrics to exceed client expectations. Gain the client’s acknowledgement and confidence in Securus, our products, strategies and commitment to the safety and security of their staff, their clients and the families and friends.



  1. Earn the reputation and acknowledgement as the trusted advisor for your clients. Exercise superior levels of leadership, knowledge and professionalism in managing, developing and maintaining accounts within your assigned Vertical territory.
  2. Harnessing the resources of Securus, lead the development of territory plans and strategies that significantly add value to the client and that exceed all goals & objectives.
  3. Be the recognized leader in industry solutions for your customers, keeping them informed of new products, services and applications to improve operations, safety of the staff and enhanced user experiences for friends and families.
  4. Ensure that every account in your assigned territory is visited as required per the Field KPI’s.


Systems and Process

  1. Leverage the SFA to develop customer profiles, including anticipated needs and maintain this data for account plans and strategies that drive revenue and create stickiness with the clients.
  2. Execute a pipeline management process with qualified opportunities that ensures a make and exceed revenue performance.
  3. Leverage the RFP process and team to produce superior, highly impactive RFP responses that exceed customer expectations, and clearly demonstrate the capabilities of Securus.



Exceed assigned objectives in revenue, margin, customer sat, client relationships, and expanded product footprint.

  1. Exceed your assigned objectives for up-sell, customer contact, Executive Briefings, and Customer Face Time. Deliver highly profitable deals that contribute significantly to Company EBITDA.
  2. Propose superior, value driven, differentiated proposals that define our capabilities, solutions and value against the competition.
  3. Invest allocated expense budget in travel, shows and targeted industry venues to strengthen relationships, drive knowledge of Securus as a partner, industry expert and community participant.

Territory Initiatives

  1. Lead corporate resources to develop and deliver territory initiatives that heighten awareness of our brand and product portfolio, value prop and market differentiation.
  2. Lead your team with the client to implement and execute marketing initiatives designed to drive revenue, increase customer retention and increase customer satisfaction.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Industry:
    • Software and Services sales and account management.
    • Telecommunications sales & Account management experience.
    • State and Local sales t& account management to governmental entities.
  • Functional:
    • Minimum 5-7 years of quota carrying sales
    • Minimum 5-7 years of quota carrying account management experience in the specified industries
    • Job experience in the Correctional Industry a plus
Required Qualifications:


  • 4 year College Degree
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office Suite
