The Software Developer II (Intermediate) contributes to all facets of the development, maintenance, and support of SECURUS systems and applications, with emphasis on support of Accounting, Customer Satisfaction, and Sales applications.

* On-call support for Securus Accounting, Customer Satisfaction, and Sales applications
The Software Developer II follows Senior and Lead Developers, working in teams or independently depending on the complexity of the task.
The Software Developer II will be responsible for tier 2 production support of specific Securus applications. He/she will analyze problem reports, research the code and environment, and work with business and systems support personnel to prepare and deploy solutions. The position will be encouraged to find permanent fixes for recurring problems.
The position will participate in project-based development for supported systems. He/she will assist senior developers in performing analysis of business requirements to develop level of effort estimates and design recommendations. The position will assist with design, coding, unit test, and deployment of project components. At all stages, he/she will provide required technical documentation.
The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to work with both technical IT and non-technical business personnel. Duties include:
The candidate must have direct experience with one or more of the software categories to be supported (Accounting, Sales/Customer Relationship Management).
Exposure to Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a big plus.
The candidate must be self-directed and able to manage daily production support requests with a minimum of supervision. He/should must be comfortable adapting to a rapidly shifting client focus and adept at multitasking.
