Overview

Securus Technologies is a leading provider of telephone and software systems to the corrections industry.   Our broad suite of products includes inmate communications services, investigative technologies, corrections/law enforcement/emergency information technology services, interactive voice response systems, and active global positioning systems (GPS) based offender monitoring devices.  

 

Job Purpose

 

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the data entry of all payroll related functions utilizing ADP Workforce Now for servicing all regular, full time, and part time employees, both exempt and non-exempt.  This person is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate input into the payroll system, including setting up all new hires within ADP Time & Attendance to produce accurate and timely bi-weekly payments. 

Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities or Duties: 

 

  1. Processing of biweekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now for four (4) companies, including ADP Time & Attendance for non-exempt employees, and issuing paychecks or direct deposits to bank accounts in an accurate and timely manner
  2. Processing court ordered deductions child support, etc.; .as required by law
  3. Processes Terminations / processes final paychecks according to state guidelines
  4. Processing separate sales commission runs and quarterly bonus runs as applicable.
  5. Processing and reporting of all employee benefits deductions, in compliance with the provision of tax laws, federal/state regulations, and company policy.
  6. Processing of expense report reimbursement through the Concur system in accordance with company policy.
  7. Processing of annual W-2 Wage and Tax statements for applicable current and former employees as required by law.

8.  Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now software and ADP Time & Attendance processing.
  • Customer-friendly; ability to communicate with all levels of employees, from non-exempt to executive management
  • Ability to be a team player, including fostering a cooperative work environment with all departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be detail-oriented and perform low-level analysis.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under stressful conditions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the company, from clerical to executive

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High school diploma

Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Time and Attendance Payroll

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Expense report processing experience utilizing CONCUR
