Overview

Securus Technologies is looking for a developer who enjoys a challenge. Do you work well with a set of requirements and a loosely defined wireframe of what is being created? Do you enjoy the challenge of diagnosing a difficult problem in an existing codebase? Do you spend free time hacking on personal projects because you love to code? If the answer is yes to these questions, we want to hear from you!

 

You will be working as part of a team building some of the most advanced analysis tools serving the corrections and law enforcement industry. The work you do will keep people safe.

 

The product you will be working on is vast and includes web applications and backend services to deliver highly interactive user experiences.

Responsibilities

You should love to code and be good at it.

 

While we don’t expect anyone to be an expert in all the technologies we’ve employed to build the product you’ll be working on, we do expect you to be proficient in at least C# or JavaScript, to have programmed applications that interact with a database, and to have programmed applications that have consumed web services. We also expect you to get excited about getting out of your comfort zone and learning new things.

Qualifications

C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC with Web API, JavaScript, TypeScript, SignalR, Knockout, MS SQL, Couchbase, ActiveMQ, HTML, CSS3, SCSS, HTML Canvas, and some other common, and not so common frameworks.

 

While not required, a 4-year degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or engineering is a plus, or any other relevant education. If you contribute substantially to any open source projects, or have won any contests or awards make sure to let us know.
