The Capacity & Performance Analyst will be responsible for capacity management planning, analyzing, trending and forecasting for Securus’ platforms/ applications. The Performance Analyst uses analytical tools to extract, transform and load data to generate reports, dashboards, alerts and scorecards for the organization. The Analyst retrieves data from repositories and, using software and applications to detect patterns and trends, manipulates the data utilized by various departments to make business decisions.



Responsible for evolving Securus’ capacity model, proactively manage capacity growth and provide usage/ limitation/ requirement metrics. Maintain Capacity Dashboard, Reports and KPIs. Develop "what if" scenarios to analyze performance, capacity, and forecast future growth to augment infrastructure as needed.



The role will interface with architecture, operations, and product teams as well as executive leadership and requires an individual that is able to use data driven analysis to influence outcomes and to work independently.


  • Generate monthly capacity dashboard/reports and present it to Securus’ senior management.
  • Forecast capacity growth based on statistical modeling and identifies infrastructure/ software augmentation/enhancements as needed.
  • Work with change and configuration managers to develop impact analysis on capacity caused by planned changes.
  • Utilizing IT capacity, performance, planning and forecast experience, analyze resource usage to identify existing or potential constraints, as well as resolve related performance problems in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Assists with the development and testing of performance measurement tools.
  • Leverage partnerships with other team members to provide holistic view of customer experience and plan of action to address issues and opportunities identified through research.
  • Create and maintain capacity SharePoint site and reports.
  • Identify gaps and define key metrics required for analytics and trending, develop criteria to measure opportunity and risk, and establish processes to provide ongoing oversight.
  • Able to work in a large group where influence skills and data analysis will be important, but will also need to be able to work independently with little guidance or direction.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve measurement and data issues.
  • Expert in using R Software and Microsoft Excel

Required Qualifications 

  • College diploma or university degree.
  • Experience in performance engineering or capacity engineering.
  • Experience in coding & scripting languages such as PHP, Python or Perl.
  • Experience in querying Database.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • 3 + years of experience in Capacity & Performance Analysis. 

Language Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent presentation skills. Should be able to effectively interact with a variety of internal and external constituencies.
